Responsible for developing and executing more complex data mining analyses. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to: Determines how decision support systems will provide the data required to make effective business decisions. Performs modeling of information sources and flows. May coordinate the activities of a project team and monitors project schedules and costs for own projects. Develops strategic report applications from the Data Warehouse. Establishes and maintains excellent knowledge of data warehouse database design, data definitions, system capabilities, programming languages, and data integrity issues. Develops and supports complex data warehouse-related applications for business areas requiring design and implementation of database tables. The majority of time will be spent programming. Conducts training on use of applications developed. Requirements: Requires a BS/BA degree and a minimum of 4 years related experience; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background. PC, spreadsheet, and database skills strongly preferred. Experience in standard Business Information tools and programming/query languages strongly preferred. If this job is assigned to any Government Business Division entity, the applicant and incumbent fall under a \`sensitive position' work designation and may be subject to additional requirements beyond those associates outside Government Business Divisions. Requirements include but are not limited to more stringent and frequent background checks and/or government clearances, segregation of duties principles, role specific training, monitoring of daily job functions, and sensitive data handling instructions. Job Type: Contract Additional Details: Standard Business hours: Monday-Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM (EST). Strong communication skills and the ability to appreciate nuanced distinctions in verbal descriptions are a must. Data Engineering / ETL / ELT experience using tools like Python, Microsoft SSIS, AWS Glue, Talend, or equivalent strongly preferred. Elevance Health operates in a Hybrid Workforce Strategy. Unless specified as primarily virtual by the hiring manager, contractors are required to work at an Elevance Health location at least once per week, and potentially several times per week. Specific requirements and expectations for time onsite will be discussed as part of the hiring process. Candidates must reside within 50 miles or 1-hour commute each way of a relevant Elevance Health location.
