Business Analyst 2 Location: Austin, TX 3 Days Remote, 2 Days Onsite Start Date - 9/15/2025 End Date - 9/14/2026 Submissions due by 8/15/2025 This is a Business Analyst 2 position that will work with the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS). This person will lead various technology and innovation projects that directly impact the daily operations of DPS to achieve Agency missions, goals, and objectives. Key Responsibilities • Support current DPS projects and priorities in the facilitation of gathering themes/epics/user stories/acceptance criteria and analysis of existing requirements documentation • Directly support project and development teams on various initiatives to improve agency effectiveness, compliance with applicable statutes, and enhance service delivery capabilities • Facilitate project development and quality assurance discussions on gathering story points to use for a predictive level of effort model • Creating themes/epics/user stories/acceptance criteria according to Agency standards • Convert existing use cases to actionable user stories/epics/acceptance criteria in Jira • Analyze existing process documentation and document potential opportunities to enhance operational effectiveness and efficiency • Support development and implementation of various initiatives Minimum Requirements Years Required/Preferred Experience 4 Required In the field or related technology field as senior level Business Analyst 3 Required Working knowledge of Agile project management methodology/practices 1 Preferred Understanding and documentation of use cases 1 Preferred Process documentation mapping
