Duration: 6 months with possible extensions or conversion to permanent β€’ β€’ β€’ Due to client requirements, only US Citizens & Green Card holders are eligible to apply for this job β€’ β€’ β€’ β€’ β€’ β€’ ANYONE APPLYING FROM OUTSIDE OF THE HOUSTON,TX AREA WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED β€’ β€’ β€’ Job Summary: The Senior Business Analyst will be responsible for the identification of solutions to meet the business needs of both internal and external clients and stakeholders. This position will specifically work within the Consumer Home Energy Customer Success Organization reporting into the Cross Functional Projects and Strategy team supporting initiatives facilitating the delivery of projects, products, and enhancements. The ideal candidate would have experience in both agile (scrum/kanban) and waterfall project execution methodologies. This position will include a wide variety of tasks and requires the Analyst to grow their agile and product knowledge, multi-task, and be very flexible with changing business and team priorities. Essential Duties/Responsibilities: β€’ Interacts with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand project charters, business cases and objectives to gather, document and analyze business needs and translate to requirements or user stories for project execution and delivery. β€’ Utilizes business experience and skills to assess and advise on the practicality of alternatives, mitigating technical limitations with operational realities, to produce fit-for-purpose solutions. β€’ Applies available standards, methods, and tools in an effective way to produce deliverables for design, testing and implementation. β€’ Takes responsibility for investigative work to determine the business requirements that provide value to both internal and external customers. β€’ Works collaboratively with management, employees, and project and development teams to execute on prioritized work and ensure objectives, timelines and quality are met as expected. β€’ Builds and maintains strong relationships with all project stakeholders, including IT and business stakeholders. β€’ Provides level-of-effort regarding scope and complexity of business analysis deliverables and holds him/herself/themselves to the commitments made for business analysis deliverables. β€’ Manages requirements gathering and application gap analysis. β€’ Maps process in both current and future state to identify optimization, improvements and controls β€’ Supports project teams through all aspects of project execution including discovery, requirements gathering, user story creation, execution of testing. β€’ Facilitates User Acceptance Testing, including defect management. Qualifications: β€’ 2+ years of experience in energy industry environment. (Highly preferred) β€’ Experience with focus more on the process improvement vs Product owner experience. Ideally someone with experience in customer service/support. β€’ Minimum of 6 years of experience in analyzing and developing business processes and participating in business processes and system improvement efforts. β€’ Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in agile product teams or project-based teams. β€’ Experience working with stakeholders who have competing priorities and gaining alignment to deliver value-add projects and features.
