A Local Council in South London are seeking 2 Business Analysts as part of a transformation programme. This job is to provide the technical expertise in interrogating current service delivery and designing new, optimal service delivery with standard operating procedures, technical solutions and delivery to achieve service improvements and financial savings.
The roles are both 6 month contracts on £425pd (inside IR35). You will need to be onsite 2 days a week.
Requirements:
Strategy
• To develop technical business cases for multiple service areas, taking the lead from the mandate provided by the Transformation Board that delivers the service outcomes and financial savings required.
• Working in a matrix manner, reporting to the Deputy Director for Transformation, and reporting into the Senior Responsible Officers (Deputy Directors) responsible for programmes.
Direction
• Leading and directing teams tasked with transformation and service improvements through matrix working.
• Determining and leading the project path and methods for implementation.
Implementation
• Determining and leading the project path and methods for implementation.
• To be responsible for updating the programme plans within the standard methodology, leading Agile implementation groups and driving the pace of delivery and benefits.
Experience:
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise business language.
• Organise and lead workshops to gather insights, co-design solutions, and build consensus among diverse teams.
• Act as a liaison between business units, IT, and senior leadership, ensuring transparent communication and collaborative decision-making.
• Clear Documentation - Produce clear and concise business cases, process maps, and functional specifications that adhere to GDS guidelines, ensuring that requirements are both user-centred and actionable.
• Familiarity with business analysis tools and methodologies (e.g., SWOT, PESTLE, Agile, Lean process mapping) and the ability to train others.
• Familiarity with the Government Digital Services standards for digital transformation
• Experience with data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Excel, Tableau).
• Dashboard & Reporting: Develop dashboards and regular reports that transparently display key performance indicators (KPIs) aligned with GDS best practices for clear, accessible data visualisation.
