Business Analyst

Fully Remote role but must be a US Citizen as there is work with the federal government and this is a 12-month contract This role will require occasional travel to their customers and also will require to really be a master at writing USER STORIES and should have experience with wire frames too We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Business Analyst to support a variety of projects, including software development initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in user story creation, wireframing, excellent soft skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with both internal teams and external stakeholders. Experience working directly with customers is essential, and prior experience with government or public safety projects is highly desirable. Key Responsibilities Requirements Gathering & Documentation: • Gather and document comprehensive business requirements, ensuring alignment with stakeholder needs and project objectives. • Write and refine clear and actionable user stories with acceptance criteria to guide development teams. • Create detailed wireframes, business process documentation, specifications, and workflows to effectively communicate requirements and support design discussions. Collaboration & Communication: • Serve as a liaison between technical teams and stakeholders, bridging the gap to ensure mutual understanding of goals and deliverables. • Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather insights and ensure seamless collaboration throughout the project lifecycle. • Present project updates, findings, and reports to stakeholders in a clear and professional manner. Stakeholder Engagement: • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, managing expectations to avoid scope creep or misaligned goals. • Act as the primary point of contact for clients during project phases, addressing questions and concerns promptly. Problem Solving & Change Management: • Assist in problem-solving activities and propose creative solutions to business challenges. • Support change management initiatives by clearly communicating changes, impacts, and benefits to stakeholders. Data Analysis & Reporting: • Analyze data to identify trends and provide actionable insights that support decision-making. • Prepare and maintain project tracking reports, ensuring transparency in project progress and outcomes. Project Support & Coordination: • Collaborate with project managers to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope. • Assist in demonstrating application functionality to clients and prospective clients, showcasing the value of proposed solutions. Qualifications and Skills Education & Experience: • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, information technology, or a related field. • 3+ years of experience in business analysis or a similar role, with increasing responsibility. • Proven experience working with stakeholders to define and refine requirements, particularly in environments that demand flexibility and adaptability. • Hands-on experience with wireframing tools (e.g., Balsamiq, Figma, Sketch, Axure) to visually translate requirements into intuitive user flows. Technical Expertise: • Proficiency with business analysis tools and techniques, including documentation and design methodologies. • Experience utilizing software development and design tools, such as Azure DevOps, is a significant advantage. • Strong understanding of agile methodologies and software development lifecycles. Key Skills: • Exceptional skills in writing user stories and creating acceptance criteria. • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse teams and clients. • Strong problem-solving capabilities, with a detail-oriented and analytical mindset. • Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in fast-paced environments. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience working directly with government, public safety, or other regulated industries. • Familiarity with change management processes and strategies. • Certification in business analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) or agile frameworks (e.g., Scrum Master) is a plus but not required.
