Role description
Role title: Business Analyst TPR grade & pay group: 8 Specialist - R&O Directorate: Chief Operating Officer Group Starting salary: From Β£41,383 per annum plus excellent benefits package, and flexible working arrangements Contract type: Fixed Term, until end of March 2026 Location: Brighton/hybrid (6 days per month in the office) Closing date: 29 September 2025 The role and responsibilities We're on a fast-paced journey of transformational regulatory change with technological and digital platforms and products supporting end to end user journeys. As part of this, new solutions, including an enterprise scale Azure data platform and engineering capability supporting digital, data and user centric approaches, have been stood up. Our Planning, Partnering and Corporate Reporting team helps us build a resilient, responsive and 'change ready' TPR that maximises our regulatory impact and operates in a way that constructive challenge, teamwork, inclusivity and continuous improvement are the norm. They work to identify and deliver business change, in support of the Corporate Strategy, that is well designed, scalable and 'sticks'. Importantly, to engender a culture where change is positively embraced and where identified business outcomes are realised at the earliest opportunity. We're looking for a Business Analyst to join our Planning, Partnering and Corporate Reporting team to provide high-quality analysis and design products to our digital initiatives through the product delivery lifecycle as we build, maintain and transform our services. Support and develop the business analysis community by sharing best practice and engaging with other business analysts. The role criteria Solid experience in a Business Analyst role and experience of: β€’ Using a Business Analysis toolkit, using a variety of tools to identify improvements & recommend suitable solutions with measurable outcomes β€’ Working with users to understand problems and clarifying needs β€’ Identifying, building and maintaining relationships with senior stakeholders β€’ Leading and hosting workshops, conducting interviews & observation techniques to translate research into features, user stories and acceptance criteria to deliver value and good outcomes β€’ Business process mapping, risk identification and process improvement. β€’ Impact and risk analysis how business processes, systems, structures, data and roles maybe affected by business or technology changes β€’ Working with data analysts on data platforms to help deliver digital services β€’ Working with product owners, user researchers, developers and multi-disciplinary teams in a matrix managed environment with delivery leads. β€’ Ability to challenge stakeholders and suppliers, understanding recommended solutions to ensure they meet the business needs and outcomes. β€’ Ability to review & understand technical documents from internal and third-party suppliers The team To provide timely, clear and flexible support to all teams across TPR so that we can fulfil our statutory objectives and our priorities effectively and efficiently.
