Job Summary
The Business Analyst will serve as the bridge between accounting and technology teams, taking ownership of requirements gathering, troubleshooting system issues, testing enhancements, and supporting the revenue accounting system (Phinsys). You will document processes, collaborate with developers, and work closely with senior accounting leaders to improve efficiency and compliance.
Must-Have Requirements:
β’ 3+ years in Business/Systems Analyst roles (requirements gathering, documentation, testing, troubleshooting)
β’ Strong accounting knowledge
β’ Experience in SOX-compliant environments
β’ Proficiency with SQL for queries, troubleshooting, and data validation
β’ Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) & Project Management methodologies
β’ Excellent communication skills for working with both technical and accounting leadership teams
β’ Experience documenting processes, user stories, and UAT test cases
β’ Highly organized, analytical, and detail-oriented with problem-solving skills
Preferred Requirements:
β’ Bachelorβs degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or IT
β’ Familiarity with ERP systems and integrations (especially accounting/financial platforms)
β’ (ASC 606 revenue recognition experience is a big plus)
β’ Product ownership or vendor management experience
