Role description
Our client is seeking a Business Analyst to work in Oak Brook, IL on a fully onsite basis. This role will serve as a key liaison between business stakeholders, client teams, and technical partners, with a strong emphasis on data analysis, reporting, and delivering actionable insights. The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience with SQL, Power BI reporting, and enterprise customer information systems, and is comfortable operating in a client‑facing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Partner directly with our client’s business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into reporting and analytical solutions
• Analyze and interpret data from multiple databases to support business and client decision‑making
• Write, optimize, and validate SQL queries to extract and reconcile data from enterprise systems
• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports for operational and client use
• Support reporting and analytics initiatives across customer, operational, and financial data sets
• Work with Customer Information Systems (CIS) such as Oracle CC&B to support data, reporting, and client requests
• Identify trends, risks, and opportunities within data and present findings clearly to stakeholders
• Act as a subject‑matter resource for KPIs, reporting definitions, and data sources
• Collaborate with data, IT, and platform teams to ensure data accuracy and availability
• Document business requirements, reporting logic, and data definitions
• Support ad‑hoc client requests, root‑cause analysis, and ongoing reporting enhancements
Required Qualifications:
• 3–5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or Reporting Analyst
• Strong experience with SQL querying and relational databases
• Hands‑on experience developing reports and dashboards using Power BI
• Experience pulling and analyzing data from enterprise data analytics platforms or databases
• Exposure to Oracle CC&B (Customer Care & Billing) or similar Customer Information Systems (CIS)
• Strong problem‑solving, analytical, and critical‑thinking skills
• Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
• Prior experience working directly with clients or client‑facing teams
• High attention to detail and data quality
