Kforce has a client that is seeking a Business Analyst in Tallahassee, FL. Duties Include:
β’ Work under the direction of the Agency's designated project manager; Participate in and lead activities as directed by the Agency
β’ Comply with Division of IT processes and standards
β’ Work on large, complex projects that have an enterprise-wide impact
β’ Work as a project team member on one or more projects involving multiple business areas and/or state agencies
β’ Elicit, identify, analyze, and document business processes and requirements for business units and/or sister agencies; Translate business requirements into user stories and/or functional requirements; Document requirements and/or user stories and other work items in Azure DevOps; Design user interface screens
β’ Analyze the business processes and make recommendations for business process improvements; This requires a high level of understanding of the organization's business systems and processes
β’ Provide estimates of work hours to complete tasks
β’ Serve as the primary liaison between internal and external users and technical resources to translate business needs into technical requirements
β’ Understand technical problems and solutions in relation to the current, as well as the future business environment
β’ Develop meeting summaries, requirements documentation, screen designs, and other project documentation within required timeframes
β’ Develop and maintain test plans and test cases
β’ Lead testing efforts for each release in dev and beta environments
β’ Coordinate with the functional owner and developers to research anomalies, identify root causes, and troubleshoot through resolution
β’ Capture and document metrics in support of the user acceptance testing and recommend improvements; Create and manage SQL queries and analyze data to respond to ad hoc requests, troubleshoot, test, or investigate anomalies, as needed
Requirements
β’ Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or another related field; Four years of equivalent work experience can be substituted for a degree; To substitute work experience for a degree, the candidate must have four years of IT work experience in addition to the minimum required years of experience required
β’ A minimum of 3 years of IT and business analysis experience
β’ Knowledge of leveraging both IT solutions and business process improvements
β’ Must demonstrate expertise in process management, business systems requirements definition, and testing
β’ Knowledge of methods of data collection and analysis
β’ Knowledge of process engineering principles and practices
β’ Proven communication skills, both orally and in writing, with technical and non-technical staff, and all levels of management
β’ Skilled with Azure DevOps, Microsoft Visio, SharePoint, the Microsoft 365 Office Suite, and familiar with business analyst software tools
β’ Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills
β’ Ability to communicate complex ideas to technical and non-technical staff, as well as all levels of management, both orally and in writing
β’ Ability to elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, and site visits
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
