Role description
Business Analyst | Systems Integration / API & RegTech Applications | New Bank! • £600 - £650 per day (DOE) • Outside IR35 • 4+ Month Contract (extensions likely) • Hybrid London (Victoria) | 3 days per week on-site We’re working with a global financial services firm (c.700 staff) as they build out their US bank programme. They are hiring a Technical Business Analyst to own the integration between their newly implemented core banking platform (Temenos) and in-house RegTech / compliance systems. This is a highly technical BA role, ideal for someone who thrives on analysing data payloads, transaction flows, and schemas, and enjoys being the glue between developers, compliance, and product teams. Key Responsibilities • Lead integration analysis between core banking (Temenos) and proprietary RegTech systems. • Map API connectivity between Temenos, middleware, and RegTech applications, engaging stakeholders across business and tech. • Write and deliver high-quality user stories and customer journeys for Systems Integration and RegTech domains. • Write clear, testable acceptance criteria and test cases for SI and RegTech domains. • Elicit requirements leveraging domain knowledge of compliance and RegTech, and translate them into technical specifications implementable by engineering teams. • Leverage knowledge of APIs and event-driven messaging patterns to map business requirements to technical capabilities. • Work directly with data payloads, schemas, and transaction feeds, producing mapping documents at field level. • Support Dev and QA teams with queries back to the business on implementation specifics. • Document compliance requirements for other aspects of the build/test as required. • Mediate across stakeholder groups (Product, Compliance, Engineering) to resolve technical detail and drive consensus. • Own the next phase of integration delivery, focusing on deep dives into transaction-level data flows. Non-Negotiables • Direct experience working with complex/bespoke software systems and how they connect via APIs. • Hands-on exposure to RegTech applications (AML, sanctions screening, KYC, or transaction monitoring) — proprietary or off-the-shelf. • Solid financial services experience (banking, liquidity, payments, monitoring). Desirable • Knowledge of compliance/governance frameworks in financial services. Tech Environment (awareness only, not hands-on) C#.NET | Temenos | RegTech AML/sanctions platforms | Transaction monitoring systems | SQL | Jira | Confluence What We’re Looking For • A BA who thrives in integration-heavy, technical environments. • Strong communicator, able to simplify complex technical requirements. • Skilled in workshops, backlog management, and UAT. • Agile delivery experience within regulated financial services. If you’re a Business Analyst with a passion for system-to-system / API integration and RegTech applications, this is your chance to play a critical role in a global core banking transformation.
