Job Title: Business Analyst (Curam)Contract Duration: 11 Months (Probability of Extension) Location: Washington DC 20003
Responsibilities:
Define system scope and objectives based on user needs and industry requirements.
Modify procedures to solve complex problems considering system limitations, operation time, and desired outcomes.
Analyze business and user needs, document requirements, and translate them into system specifications.
Provide consultation on complex projects, acting as a top-level contributor to systems analysis while understanding the business impact of technology.
Lead workshops for gap analysis, training, and implementation support.
Collaborate with leadership to develop strategic plans and initiatives, addressing challenges and recommending improvements.
Evaluate current processes and propose solutions for optimization, development, and maintenance.
Become an integral team member, resolving platform-related issues using critical thinking.
Behavioral Characteristics:
Adaptable, analytical, and goal-oriented.
Self-starter with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to multitask.
Required Skills and Experience:
16+ years of Business Analyst experience.
16+ years in the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
16+ years of experience in requirements gathering and documentation.
Proficient in MS Office and PowerPoint (16+ years).
Experience in functional, technical, and performance requirements documentation in a software development environment (5+ years).
Strong communication and writing skills (5+ years).
Experience with Data Analysis Tools (IBM Knowledge Center, Curam Data Dictionary) (5+ years).
Hands-on SDLC experience (16+ years).
Proven track record of producing high-quality documents (4+ years).
Experience with MS Project, Visio, and MS Office applications (6+ years).
Experience with Curam software V6 or higher (3+ years).
Project management experience in Change and Release Management (2+ years preferred).
Experience with Microstrategy, HP Exstream, Tableau, JIRA, and Salesforce (2+ years preferred).
Proven ability to drive functional design sessions (4+ years).
Familiarity with project management methodologies.
Education/Certification Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field or equivalent experience.
PMP certification is a plus.
Pay: $100.00 - $105.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
