Role description
ServiceNow Business Analyst 12+ Months Contract Remote Role Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical ServiceNow Business Analyst to join our team. This role is responsible for gathering and documenting business requirements, translating them into functional specifications, and collaborating with stakeholders and ServiceNow developers to implement solutions aligned with business objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of IT service management (ITSM), excellent communication skills, and hands-on experience with the ServiceNow platform. Key Responsibilities: β€’ Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document requirements for ServiceNow implementations and enhancements. β€’ Translate business needs into detailed functional and technical specifications. β€’ Act as a liaison between business units and the technical development team to ensure requirements are understood and implemented effectively. β€’ Participate in the design, testing, and deployment of ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CSM, and others as required. β€’ Assist in creating user stories, use cases, process flows, and wireframes for proposed solutions. β€’ Conduct gap analysis and impact assessments for changes to existing processes or systems. β€’ Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) by preparing test cases, coordinating testers, and tracking issues. β€’ Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation using ServiceNow capabilities. β€’ Ensure solutions comply with enterprise architecture and governance standards. β€’ Provide end-user training and support documentation as needed. Qualifications Required: β€’ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field. β€’ 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably working with ServiceNow. β€’ Strong knowledge of ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, CMDB, Incident, Change, Request, Knowledge, etc. β€’ Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps). β€’ Ability to create clear documentation (BRDs, FRDs, user stories, process maps). β€’ Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. β€’ Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Preferred: β€’ ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) or Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) certifications. β€’ Experience with ServiceNow reporting, dashboards, or performance analytics. β€’ Familiarity with ITIL v4 framework and concepts. β€’ Experience working in enterprise environments or large-scale ServiceNow deployments.
