This role is focused on requirements gathering, data mapping, integration analysis, and ensuring the effective flow of market data across trading, risk, and analytics systems. While direct ZEMA experience is highly desirable, the client will also consider candidates with strong Business Analysis experience integrating comparable market data platforms (e.g. Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), Trayport, Bloomberg or other vendor-driven data ingestion platforms and ETRMs), with transferable expertise in data onboarding, transformation logic, and vendor connectivity. Within end-to-end implementation, Business Analyst must consider stakeholder needs, how to get buy-in from stakeholders into new platforms and user onboarding, hooks and data transfer etc. 💰 Up to £800 per day (Inside IR35) 📑 6-month rolling contract 📍 Hybrid – 2–3 days per week in London Key Responsibilities • Lead Business Analysis activities for the integration of ZEMA into the firm’s trading, risk, and analytics landscape. • Gather and document functional and non-functional requirements relating to market data ingestion, validation, transformation, and downstream distribution. • Produce detailed data mapping documents, interface specifications, and end-to-end dataflow diagrams. • Work closely with traders, risk managers, quants, market data SMEs, and technology teams to understand data consumption needs and ensure accurate integration. • Analyse existing data flows and identify optimisation opportunities across ingestion pipelines and reporting layers. • Liaise with external vendors and internal engineering teams to coordinate enhancements, schema changes, and interface updates. • Support SIT/UAT cycles, define test scenarios, and validate data accuracy and completeness across integrated systems. • Monitor data quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and drive resolution across upstream and downstream systems. Key Skills & Experience • Proven experience as a Business Analyst within energy trading or financial markets, ideally working on market data or ETRM-related initiatives. • Experience integrating ZEMA or similar market data platforms (ICE, Trayport, Bloomberg, or comparable vendor data systems). • Strong understanding of data ingestion pipelines, APIs, market data feeds, transformation logic, and validation frameworks. • Ability to translate business requirements from trading and risk stakeholders into clear technical artefacts. • Strong documentation skills (BRDs, FRDs, data dictionaries, interface specs, process flows). • Experience operating in complex enterprise data environments with multiple vendor systems and internal platforms. • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across front office and technology teams.
