Role description
We are seeking a Business Analyst to support the transformation of advisor compensation processes through process analysis, system enhancements, and change management initiatives.
This role will partner closely with business stakeholders, operations teams, and technology teams to analyze current processes, identify improvement opportunities, and support the implementation of new systems and reporting solutions.
The ideal candidate will have strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and manage priorities in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Analyze current business processes and workflows and identify opportunities for improvement
• Create process documentation and workflow diagrams using tools such as Lucidchart or similar
• Develop source-to-target data mappings between legacy platforms and new systems, including data dictionaries and definitions
• Partner with business and technology teams to gather requirements and support system implementations
• Build and support business reporting and analytics to help teams monitor performance and key metrics
• Query databases and analyze datasets to generate actionable insights for operational improvements
• Support data migration and validation activities during system transformations
• Validate reference data used within compensation systems
• Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and collaborate with QA teams to ensure system functionality meets business requirements
• Assist with issue troubleshooting and root cause analysis and work with technical teams to resolve defects
• Provide post-release support to operational teams following system updates
• Support change management initiatives and help ensure successful adoption of new processes and tools
• Track and manage workstream priorities and backlog items for ongoing process improvements
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations, Process Management, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in Business Analysis, operations, or process improvement roles
• Experience working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Skills
• Experience with SQL, Alteryx, Varicent, Python, or similar tools
• Experience with Tableau, Power BI, or other reporting/visualization tools
• Strong process documentation and workflow mapping skills
• Ability to analyze large datasets and translate findings into business insights
• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience supporting system implementations, data migrations, or operational transformations
