Role description
We are looking for Business Analyst - DNS at Knutsford, UK – 3 days per week Onsite
Key Responsibilities
• Elicit and document business and technical requirements for DNS services (internal & external).
• Analyse DNS architecture, domains, zones, records, and resolution flows.
• Translate business needs into functional and non-functional DNS requirements.
• Support DNS migrations, consolidations, and cloud/hybrid DNS initiatives.
• Assess risks related to DNS availability, security, and performance.
• Work with Network Engineers on DNS changes, upgrades, and tooling.
• Define success metrics, SLAs, and operational reporting for DNS services.
• Support incident/problem analysis related to DNS failures.
• Produce clear documentation: HLDs, LLDs, process flows, and service models.
• Ensure DNS solutions align with security, compliance, and enterprise standards.
Desirable
• Experience with enterprise DNS platforms (Infoblox, BlueCat, Microsoft DNS).
• Knowledge of DNS security (DNSSEC, DDoS protection).
• Exposure to cloud DNS (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• ITIL or Agile delivery experience
