Multiple Opportunities Have Become Available At University Of Cambridge To Join The Business Analyst Team That Will Support One Of The Following Projects
Role 1 - myHR Readiness (1 Year Fixed Term) Working across smaller change projects to deliver against the overall HR Readiness portfolio.
Role 2 - Systems Management Policy (SMP) (2 Year Fixed Term) Improving, enhancing and delivering HR (Recruitment) systems, modernising them in line with policy.
Role 3 - Enterprise Platform Transformation (3 Year Fixed Term) Delivering high-quality reporting using Microsoft Fabric across the various transformation programmes.
This role is part of University Information Services (UIS). We work collaboratively with colleagues in departments, colleges, and other institutions to provide a range of IT services to support the needs of all users at the University.
As a Business Analyst your work will enable the University of Cambridge community to make better, informed decisions for digital services, to facilitate world leading research & education. You will work with stakeholders and other project team roles to understand and document the current situation, to define business and user needs, and to help design and deliver products and services that meet those needs.
As a Business Analyst you will
β’ Work with stakeholders and other members of the project team to understand and document business needs.
β’ Document complex current state systems and processes, in a way that is easy for non-technical staff to understand.
β’ Document future state systems and processes, recording and prioritising future state requirements enabling a successful delivery to business-as-usual operations.
β’ Ensure that the products and services delivered meet the needs of the business.
β’ Work on the specification, design and delivery of digital products by selecting and applying appropriate business analysis techniques.ΒΏ
Are you the right candidate?
β’ Extensive experience working within multi-disciplinary delivery teams to shape and deliver digital services.
β’ Ability to adapt to project needs and flexibility to use skills outside of a typical BA role e.g. conducting testing activities and planning / managing small projects.
β’ Comfortable working to tight timescales and adapting the approach as necessary.
β’ Experience of working in Agile environments.
It would be advantageous if you have had experience using tools such as Azure DevOps/Jira/GitLab.
