Role description
We are recruiting for a Data Analyst to join a successful consulting firm on temporary to direct hire basis located in downtown Sacramento. The Data Analyst is responsible for overseeing business intelligence reporting, working closely with stakeholders to provide actionable insights through interactive dashboards and reports. This contract position with the possibility for permanence has a hybrid work schedule (3 days onsite, 2 days remote). Pay: $40/hr. - $55/hr. Depending on Relevant Experience. Our client is only able to consider U.S. citizens or permanent residents for this position. The ideal candidate has strong Data Analyst experience, and advance knowledge of Power BI, DAX, MS Fabric, Dynamics 365, Dataverse data concepts, SQL and other data analysis tools. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: β€’ Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards to support data-driven decision-making. β€’ Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications. β€’ Develop enterprise-wide, cascading key-performance-indicator (KPI) program and integrate the KPIs within Power BI dashboards across the organization to drive enterprise-wide collaboration, efficiency, and optimization. β€’ Data modeling, including but not limited to developing, analyzing, and maintaining data models within the organization ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices. β€’ Leverage Microsoft AI capabilities, including but not limited to predictive analytics, pattern discovery, and automated analysis. β€’ Manage and administer Power BI service, including workspace and dataset management, security, and user access. β€’ Provide training and support to end-users on business intelligence tools and best practices. β€’ Monitor and troubleshoot business intelligence solutions to ensure data accuracy and reliability. SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS: β€’ Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. β€’ Certifications in Power BI and/or related business intelligence technologies a plus. β€’ 10 years of proven experience within the area of data and business intelligence. β€’ Strong proficiency in Power BI, including advanced DAX functions, paginated reports, drill throughs and row-level security. β€’ Experience with data modeling (Star, Snowflake, Galaxy, etc.) and ETL processes. β€’ Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Dynamics 365, and Dataverse data concepts. β€’ Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. β€’ Strong business acumen, communication, and collaboration skills. β€’ Knowledge of SQL and other data analysis tools. β€’ Experience with Azure services and cloud-based data solutions a plus. β€’ Familiarity with other business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Looker, or Qlik preferred.
