Role description
CTG is seeking to fill a Business Analyst OR Solution Architect opening for our client.
Location: RemoteDuration: Ongoing Contract
Duties:
Design, implement, and optimize technology solutions tailored to forensic science applications for forensic services.
Collaborate with forensic scientists, executives, law enforcement, and development teams to deliver scalable, secure, and efficient systems.
Integrate systems such as LIMS, digital forensics tools, and evidence management platforms.
Support the application of AI/ML technologies in forensic science, including predictive analytics and pattern recognition.
Ensure compliance with forensic standards, regulations, and best practices in evidence handling and laboratory workflows.
Incorporate cybersecurity and blockchain technologies for secure evidence tracking.
Apply hybrid project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Scrum) to deliver technology solutions.
Advise stakeholders on system architecture, data governance, and operational efficiencies.
Skills:
Strong technical background in system design, software architecture, and integration.
Knowledge of forensic science technologies such as LIMS, ADAMS, CrimePad, QualTrax, and related testing equipment software.
Understanding of forensic science processes including evidence collection, chain of custody, and laboratory workflows.
Familiarity with ISO 17025/17020, ANAB, OSAC, SWGDAM, NIST standards.
Proficiency in secure data management and compliance with legal and ethical considerations.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical thinking, and communication skills.
Experience:
Minimum 2 years of experience in forensic science, criminal justice, law enforcement, pharmaceutical, or life sciences laboratory environments.
Proven track record in designing and implementing complex systems in forensic or laboratory settings.
Experience with government or law enforcement technology projects.
Background in AI/ML applications and/or cybersecurity for forensic data handling.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field required.
Master’s degree or relevant certifications (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, TOGAF, CISSP) preferred.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
