Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Analyst / Consultant to partner with our Business Lead in a telecom-focused environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional communication skills with senior management, deep expertise in agile delivery, and the ability to translate business requirements into actionable plans. This role will be pivotal in ensuring that business needs are clearly articulated, documented, and integrated into product roadmaps for offshore tribes and product owners (POs). A background or familiarity with governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) will be highly advantageous.
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Conduct interviews and workshops with senior management (Heads of Department and above) to understand and capture business requirements.
β’ Serve as the primary communications link between the business teams, offshore development squads, and relevant stakeholders.
β’ Facilitate meetings, presentations, and demonstrations to senior leadership, effectively communicating project updates, timelines, and strategic objectives.
β’ Collaborate with product owners, scrum teams, and tribe leads to build and maintain agile development roadmaps.
β’ Proactively ensure that business requirements align with release plans and sprint objectives, coordinating priorities and dependencies across multiple squads.
β’ Advocate for agile best practices within cross-functional teams, driving continuous improvement and efficiency in delivery cycles.
β’ Champion innovative workshopping methods, such as virtual war rooms, Miro/Mural boards, and other collaborative tools to brainstorm and gather requirements effectively.
β’ Drive the adoption of cutting-edge approaches to problem-solving, process mapping, and stakeholder engagement to maximize team input and output.
β’ Document βto-beβ business processes and requirements, adhering to client-devised templates and methodologies.
β’ Recommend potential improvements to documentation, requirements gathering, or agile processes that enhance stakeholder experience and streamline workflow.
β’ (Optional) Utilize business process modeling tools (e.g., BPMN) to structure workflows and ensure clarity of requirements for technical teams.
β’ Act as a brand ambassador for the GRC application within the organization, advocating for its value and alignment with business objectives.
β’ Understand and incorporate compliance and risk management best practices into business requirements, ensuring solutions mitigate risks and adhere to relevant standards.
β’ Where relevant, draw on prior experience in GRC projects to enhance solution quality and business buy-in.
β’ Build strong relationships with offshore tribes, product owners, and technical teams to foster alignment and mutual understanding of requirements.
β’ Display strong persuasive and negotiation skills to influence stakeholders and drive necessary changes or improvements in business practices.
β’ Promote a culture of continuous improvement, agility, and collaboration across multiple teams and functions.
Qualifications & Experience:
β’ Bachelorβs degree in business administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
β’ Masterβs degree or professional certification in Agile (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster) preferred.
β’ Proven experience as a Business Analyst for at least 6 to 8 years of experience
β’ Demonstrated ability to work effectively with senior management and executive stakeholders.
β’ Strong understanding of agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe) and a track record in delivering agile projects.
β’ Hands-on experience with virtual collaboration and facilitation tools (Miro, Mural, etc.) and familiarity with BPMN or similar modelling standards.
β’ Knowledge of governance, risk, and compliance processes; prior involvement in GRC-oriented initiatives is a plus.
β’ Familiarity with ITIL or eTOM frameworks is advantageous.
β’ Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to influence and drive consensus.
