We are seeking a Business Analyst (Education/ Healthcare) with strong knowledge of the education domain within healthcare. The role focuses on leveraging data to support educational strategy, accreditation, compliance, curriculum planning, and workforce development. The ideal candidate will have experience working with education-related data in medical/academic healthcare environments and will help drive informed decision-making through data analysis, insights, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
• Partner with education leaders, faculty, and administrators to analyze data needs across medical education programs (undergraduate, graduate, and continuing medical education).
• Collect, interpret, and validate data from various education-related sources such as:
• Learning Management Systems (LMS)
• Student Information Systems (SIS)
• Clinical rotation tracking systems
• Faculty activity databases
• Accreditation and compliance reporting tools
• Develop dashboards, KPIs, and reports to support decisions on student admissions, curriculum effectiveness, faculty utilization, and learner performance.
• Collaborate with IT and data governance teams to ensure data accuracy, quality, and security across systems.
• Provide insights to leadership on trends related to:
• Learner outcomes
• Faculty development and workload
• Accreditation standards (LCME, ACGME, CME)
• Resource allocation in education programs
• Document business requirements, functional specifications, and process flows to guide data-driven educational initiatives.
• Support decision-making related to program growth, capacity planning, and compliance reporting.
• Facilitate cross-functional meetings and act as a bridge between academic leadership, operations, and technical teams.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Education, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• 3–6 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Data Analyst in healthcare or higher education settings.
• Strong understanding of education data domains in healthcare: admissions, student lifecycle, curriculum data, clinical training data, faculty activity, accreditation requirements.
• Proficiency with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or similar).
• Knowledge of SQL and working with relational databases.
• Experience with LMS (Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle) and SIS platforms.
• Familiarity with accreditation standards (LCME, ACGME, CME).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working in a medical college, teaching hospital, or academic healthcare institution.
• Exposure to data governance and compliance in healthcare and education domains.
• Knowledge of reporting needs for federal/state education and healthcare programs.
• Background in process improvement, stakeholder engagement, and change management.
