We support public sector organisations in embracing technology to drive value and change, with a particular speciality in leading digital transformation in the criminal justice and policing sectors. Our team is often involved in the entire project lifecycle, from inception through to operational delivery and business as usual, allowing us to gain a wide variety of experiences along with the personal pride of seeing project realisation.
The Role:
We are seeking several Business Analysts for some projects that we have recently won. You will work in small team alongside client staff. Although much of the work will be performed from home, there will be some occasion for working on client site in London. This is a full time role for up to 12 months. Core working hours are 9am to 4pm.
The ideal candidate will be a specialist or have experience in one or several of the following capability areas:
Requirements capture and analysis using AGILE techniques
Agile-based delivery using COTS products
User Stories, Acceptance Criteria, use cases, user journeys
Business process mapping and process re-engineering
Benefits modelling and lifecycle management
Target Operating Model definition and delivery
Writing training material
Writing and executing test scripts
Furthermore, the role will require you to:
Design, prepare and facilitate engaging user workshops
Lead client workshops, with confidence and impact to generate adoption
Capture clear, accurate and comprehensive requirements
Develop process designs and maps
Identify ways of improving processes, through workshops with subject matter experts
Identify and implement opportunities to analyse and optimise current processes
Work with systems integrators and software developers
Working to an agreed minimum viable product (MVP) based scope delivered using focused Agile Sprints
Apply a digital understanding to the work and identify and implement solutions
Work independently, innovatively and use the most appropriate tools and methods
Identify issues and risks , with pragmatic mitigations
Analyse and prepare test material
Execute tests and capture results
With regards to knowledge, skills & experience, we require:
Excellent verbal communication skills to confidentially and articulately present both on screen and in person to clients with the ability to make an immediate positive impression
An articulate, organised and disciplined character
Strong documentation ability allied to excellent written communication skills
Experienced user of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, etc.)
Experienced user of JIRA, Atlassian Suite or MS DevOps
Proven ability to apply process improvement methodology
Experience working in fast-paced and demanding environments
Hands-on and flexible approach to emerging requirements (“Can-do” attitude)
Pragmatic approach to delivery
Proven Business Analyst experience, ideally within the public sector
Ability to demonstrate specific expertise in your chosen specialism(s)
Educated to degree level
Location
The role is predominantly home-based. However, we require candidates to be located within a commutable distance of London and allow for reasonable travel time to the client site for 2-3 times per month.
Start Date & Interview Process
We are aiming to fill this role as soon as possible. Screening interviews will take place via a 15 minute Teams call with the Managing Partner to shortlist candidates. This will then be followed by a competency interview of 30mins, and potentially a final face-to-face meeting or a final interview with potential team leads should we determine this necessary. Recruitment agency applications will not be considered.
