Job Title: Business Analyst
Location: London/Hybrid
Rate: up to £780 Umbrella
Contract Length: Initial contract until end of November
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to support delivery within a technology‑driven Agile environment. This is a hands‑on role suited to a BA who can quickly embed into an existing Scrum team, take high‑level business requirements, and translate them into clear, actionable user stories that drive delivery.
You will work closely with Product Owners, Developers, and Testers to ensure requirements are well defined, understood, and delivered to agreed quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Rapidly analyse high‑level business requirements and decompose them into detailed user stories and acceptance criteria
Operate effectively within an Agile/Scrum framework, actively contributing to ceremonies including refinement, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
Support and help define Definition of Done, ensuring stories are complete, testable, and ready for development
Collaborate with QA and delivery teams on testing outcomes, reviewing test results, and supporting the management and resolution of defects
Act as a delivery‑focused interface between business stakeholders and technology teams
Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date documentation to support ongoing delivery and knowledge transfer
Add immediate value with minimal supervision, demonstrating strong ownership and accountability
Essential Skills & Experience
Proven experience working as a Business Analyst
Strong delivery track record in a technology‑led Agile/Scrum environment
Demonstrable experience turning high‑level requirements into user stories
Experience contributing to or defining Definition of Done
Hands‑on involvement in testing phases, including test results analysis and defect triage
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
Ability to onboard quickly and operate autonomously in a fast‑paced environment
Desirable Experience
Experience working across multiple Scrum teams
Familiarity with common Agile delivery tools (e.g. Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps)
Background in digital, platform, or software delivery programmes
