We are searching for a Business Analyst to join our team, based in Cupertino. The ideal candidate will have strong operational experience in developing reporting solutions and will have business process re-engineering experience - assessing project and process approaches, issues, and mitigating risks.
Job Description
A successful project manager will be able to look beyond the current process and refine, define, iterate, and implement systems and processes that align with the organizationβs strategic goals, while anticipating future business needs. The ideal candidate is highly organized, flexible and calm in the face of ambiguity, adaptable to rapidly changing requirements and business needs.
This is a key role in the team to ensure that strong project and reporting solutions are developed to provide business insights across the Real Estate portfolio and will require the successful candidate to build strong knowledge of Real Estate systems.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the implementation of new systems and processes, he/she will partner closely with key business partners in procurement,
Key Qualifications
5+ years experience in Finance or in related functions such as reporting analytics or Tableau development.
Ability to implement scalable, standard processes and system automation
Strong understanding of relational database structures
Strong Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) experience including creating, writing & maintaining views
Experience/knowledge in Semantic Layer and SQL
Experience with ETL process & tools
Exceptional UAT experience
Projects Management experience
Experience in defining and measuring operational metrics
Accounting and Finance background required to facilitate converting data into actionable information
In-depth Real Estate Finance knowledge: Amortization, Depreciation, Obligation etc.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to a global, fast-paced environment
Advanced skills in BI tools, i.e. Tableau, Tableau Prep, FileMaker, etc
Excellent Excel skills, Macro/VBA preferred
Strong knowledge of ERP systems (SAP) and Tririga is an advantage
Drive Monthly/Quarterly close for Lease Accounting and FP&A teams
Report building capabilities based on Business procedures
Coordinating efforts with other key stakeholders and partners
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Effective presentation skills and strong ability to keep projects on track and schedule
Ability to work cross functionally and lead key projects with limited information or oversight
Experience with system automation projects, process improvement initiatives
Key Responsibilities
Act as a key liaison regarding project and reporting solutions between multiple business partners including IS&T, Real Estate & Development, Procurement, Finance, and Global Business Solutions
Excellent communication skills and ability to deliver impactful presentations at all levels of the organization.
Are able to recognize major blockers and issues early, raise them, and strategize contingency plans and solutions.
Have a proven track record for efficient collaboration with teams within and outside of your organization.
Proactive with proven ability to translate analytical outcomes and technical roadblocks between business owners and technical teams.
Establish processes and relevant infrastructure to capture and analyze key data regarding RE&D operations and performance
Perform financial analytics and establish metrics and KPIβs and SLAβs
Drive process improvement initiatives and system enhancements
Key Skills:
Ability to implement scalable, standard processes and system automation
Demonstrate a high level of understanding of the project lifecycle and effectively communicate project status and requirements
Anticipate potential problems and work proactively to provide and implement solutions to a wide range of global, cross-functional issues
Strong EDW experience
Exceptional UAT experience
Proven ability of developing project plans and executing through internal and external partners
Experience in defining and measuring operational metrics
Accounting and Finance background required to facilitate converting data into actionable information
Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to a global, fast-paced environment
