Business Analyst

Senior Business Analyst Location: Remote (U.S.-based) Start: January 2026 Duration: Through August 2026 (extensions possible) Type: Full-Time Contract We’re looking for a Senior Business Analyst (Level III) to support large-scale, complex technology initiatives, including modern application platforms and legacy system transformation. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys working across technical and business teams, and brings a strong foundation in enterprise software delivery. You’ll play a key role in SaaS/COTS implementations, data migration from legacy systems, and enterprise data warehouse initiatives, partnering closely with stakeholders to turn business needs into scalable, well-documented solutions. What You’ll Do • Lead advanced business analysis activities for complex software and emerging technology projects • Gather and document requirements using interviews, workshops, use cases, process flows, and prototyping • Analyze and document current-state and future-state business processes • Develop functional requirements, system specifications, and traceability documentation • Support SaaS and COTS implementations, data migrations, and data warehouse initiatives • Create and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test plans, test cases, and execution • Partner with business, functional, and technical teams to translate needs into technical solutions • Investigate production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and document corrective actions • Ensure deliverables align with established standards, methodologies, and quality expectations • Provide guidance during testing, training, and implementation phases • Operate with a high level of autonomy and contribute across multiple interrelated initiatives What We’re Looking For Required: • 10+ years of business analysis experience supporting software development projects • Strong expertise in requirements elicitation, stakeholder facilitation, and technical documentation • Deep experience with SDLC and enterprise application implementations • 8+ years of experience with software quality assurance, testing methodologies, and UAT • Hands-on experience with JIRA (stories, test cases, execution, reporting) • Advanced SQL / Oracle query experience • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Experience with documentation and prototyping tools (Visio, Axure, Snagit, etc.) Nice to Have: • Agile environment experience • Test automation experience (Java, Selenium, or similar) • Salesforce project experience • Strong database and data validation skills • Process improvement and change leadership experience • Experience in regulated or compliance-driven industries • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience Why This Role: • High-impact work on complex, enterprise-level systems • Fully remote contract opportunity • Senior-level autonomy and influence • Opportunity for contract extensions based on performance and funding
