Business Analyst PALM (USC)

Position Title: Business Analyst Location: Tallahassee, FL (Onsite – 5 days/week) Duration: Long-term contract Client Environment: Government / Public Sector Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Business Analyst to support financial and administrative systems for a long-term onsite engagement in Tallahassee, FL. The ideal candidate will have experience or knowledge of PALM (Planning, Accounting, and Ledger Management) or FLAIR (Florida Accounting Information Resource) systems, or possess strong expertise in advanced Excel and data analysis. Key Responsibilities: • Gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements • Work with PALM / FLAIR or similar financial systems to support operations and reporting • Perform data analysis using advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, formulas, etc.) • Generate and maintain reports, dashboards, and documentation • Collaborate with business stakeholders, finance teams, and technical teams • Support system enhancements, testing, and implementation activities • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with organizational standards • Assist in process improvements and workflow optimization Required Skills & Qualifications: • Experience as a Business Analyst / Data Analyst / Functional Analyst • Knowledge or exposure to PALM, FLAIR, or similar financial/government systems • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Excel (advanced level) • Solid understanding of data analysis, reporting, and documentation • Experience working with large datasets and financial data • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
