Business Analyst (POS/integrations/payments)

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with strong Retail domain expertise, particularly in Point of Sale (POS), payment systems, and system integrations. The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, product teams, and technical teams to gather requirements, define business processes, and support the delivery of retail technology solutions. This role requires a strong understanding of retail store operations, POS ecosystems, payment processing, and integration with downstream systems such as ERP, inventory, loyalty, and eCommerce platforms. Key Responsibilities • Work with retail business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements related to POS, payments, and retail integrations. • Analyze current retail store systems and recommend process and technology improvements. • Create Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs), user stories, and process flows. • Collaborate with engineering, integration, and product teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications. • Support POS implementations, upgrades, or migrations across retail stores. • Work with teams responsible for payment processing, card networks, payment gateways, and compliance requirements. • Assist in defining integration requirements between POS and systems such as inventory management, CRM, loyalty platforms, ERP, and eCommerce platforms. • Participate in UAT planning, test case creation, and validation of implemented solutions. • Facilitate workshops, stakeholder meetings, and requirement review sessions. • Support project teams in Agile/Scrum delivery environments. Required Qualifications • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in the Retail industry. • Strong experience working with Retail POS systems. • Experience with payment processing, payment gateways, and retail transaction flows. • Experience defining integration requirements between POS and enterprise systems. • Strong experience with requirements gathering, documentation, and stakeholder management. • Experience with Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira or similar platforms. • Excellent communication and analytical skills. Preferred Qualifications • Experience with modern POS platforms such as NCR, Oracle Retail, Square, Shopify POS, or similar systems. • Understanding of payment technologies such as credit cards, digital wallets, tokenization, and PCI compliance. • Experience with API-based integrations and middleware platforms. • Prior experience supporting large retail chains or multi-store environments.
