Business Analyst

This role sits at the intersection of business analysis, data validation, and quality assurance, supporting a large enterprise application. The application processes high volumes of data from multiple upstream and downstream systems, making accuracy, coordination, and communication critical. Core Responsibilities You’ll act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams while also contributing hands-on to testing and data validation: • Application & Production Support: Support an enterprise-wide application used by many internal data consumers and producers • Monitor and manage overnight data feeds and next-day processing workflows • Help coordinate and implement changes across the system • Business Analysis: Gather and document requirements • Translate business needs into technical specifications • Analyze data flows and processes • Support full SDLC, from feasibility to UAT • Testing & Quality Assurance: Perform manual testing and validate test cases • Contribute to automation efforts using Python • Support system integration testing and UAT • Create test strategies, plans, and scripts • Data Analysis (SQL-heavy): Write complex SQL queries (multi-join, ad hoc queries) • Validate and troubleshoot large datasets • Ensure data integrity across systems • Change Management & Coordination: Work closely with developers, testers, and lead BAs • Coordinate change activities and releases • Provide detailed documentation and clear written communication Key Skills & Requirements • Experience: 7+ years in Business Analysis / QA / Data roles • SQL: Advanced (complex joins, writing queries on the fly) • Testing: Strong manual testing + exposure to automation • Automation: Python preferred • Domain Knowledge: Mortgage industry experience is a big plus • Communication: Strong writing and stakeholder interaction skills • Documentation: Extensive (requirements, test cases, change logs) What This Role Really Is (Plain English) This isn’t a pure Business Analyst or pure QA role—it’s a hybrid BA + Data Analyst + QA position.
