MIDTOWN MANHATTAN
Experienced consultant specializing in process management and operational efficiency to support a strategic transformation initiative. This role will focus on mapping internal workflows, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing improvements aligned with best practices in data-driven decision-making and activity-based costing. The consultant will also play a key role in guiding the selection and implementation of a new Association Management System (AMS) and managing critical projects that impact organizational performance.
Reporting Structure
β’ Primary: Chief Executive Officer (CEO) β for strategic oversight and alignment with vision.
β’ Secondary/Dotted-Line: Director of Finance and Operations β for operational insight, financial data, and coordination with finance and operations teams.
β’ Communication Cadence:
β’ Weekly operational check-ins with Finance and Operations.
β’ Bi-weekly strategic reviews with CEO.
β’ Shared dashboard for project milestones and KPIs accessible to both leaders.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Process Mapping & Analysis
β’ Conduct a comprehensive review of internal workflows across departments.
β’ Identify inefficiencies, redundancies, and bottlenecks using process mapping tools.
β’ Efficiency & Cost Optimization
β’ Propose workflow improvements leveraging activity-based costing and data analytics.
β’ Develop recommendations for operational efficiency and resource allocation.
β’ Technology & AMS Selection
β’ Assist in defining requirements for a new Association Management System.
β’ Support vendor evaluation, selection, and implementation planning.
β’ Project Management
β’ Oversee key strategic projects ensuring timely delivery and alignment with organizational goals.
β’ Establish KPIs and reporting mechanisms for project tracking.
β’ Stakeholder Engagement
β’ Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure buy-in and smooth adoption of changes.
β’ Provide training and documentation for new processes and systems.
Qualifications
β’ Proven experience in business process management, workflow optimization, and operational efficiency.
β’ Familiarity with activity-based costing and data-driven analysis.
β’ Strong background in AMS selection and implementation.
β’ Expertise in project management methodologies (PMP or similar certification preferred).
β’ Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
β’ Consulting experience with non-profit or membership-based organizations is a plus.
Technical Skills & Tools
β’ Business Process Management (BPM): Lean Six Sigma, process optimization frameworks.
β’ Process Mapping Tools: Visio, Lucidchart, Bizagi, Pipefy, Process Street.
β’ Activity-Based Costing: Advanced Excel, costing models, data analytics.
β’ AMS Platforms: Familiarity with iMIS, NetForum, Fonteva or similar systems.
β’ Project Management Tools: MS Project, Smartsheet, Asana, Trello, Monday.com.
β’ Data Analysis & Reporting: Power BI, Tableau, SQL for data queries and dashboards.
β’ Collaboration Tools: SharePoint, Teams, Confluence for documentation and communication.
