MIDTOWN MANHATTAN
Experienced consultant specializing in process management and operational efficiency to support a strategic transformation initiative. This role will focus on mapping internal workflows, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing improvements aligned with best practices in data-driven decision-making and activity-based costing. The consultant will also play a key role in guiding the selection and implementation of a new Association Management System (AMS) and managing critical projects that impact organizational performance.
Reporting Structure
• Primary: Chief Executive Officer (CEO) – for strategic oversight and alignment with vision.
• Secondary/Dotted-Line: Director of Finance and Operations – for operational insight, financial data, and coordination with finance and operations teams.
• Communication Cadence:
• Weekly operational check-ins with Finance and Operations.
• Bi-weekly strategic reviews with CEO.
• Shared dashboard for project milestones and KPIs accessible to both leaders.
Key Responsibilities
• Process Mapping & Analysis
• Conduct a comprehensive review of internal workflows across departments.
• Identify inefficiencies, redundancies, and bottlenecks using process mapping tools.
• Efficiency & Cost Optimization
• Propose workflow improvements leveraging activity-based costing and data analytics.
• Develop recommendations for operational efficiency and resource allocation.
• Technology & AMS Selection
• Assist in defining requirements for a new Association Management System.
• Support vendor evaluation, selection, and implementation planning.
• Project Management
• Oversee key strategic projects ensuring timely delivery and alignment with organizational goals.
• Establish KPIs and reporting mechanisms for project tracking.
• Stakeholder Engagement
• Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure buy-in and smooth adoption of changes.
• Provide training and documentation for new processes and systems.
Qualifications
• Proven experience in business process management, workflow optimization, and operational efficiency.
• Familiarity with activity-based costing and data-driven analysis.
• Strong background in AMS selection and implementation.
• Expertise in project management methodologies (PMP or similar certification preferred).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Consulting experience with non-profit or membership-based organizations is a plus.
Technical Skills & Tools
• Business Process Management (BPM): Lean Six Sigma, process optimization frameworks.
• Process Mapping Tools: Visio, Lucidchart, Bizagi, Pipefy, Process Street.
• Activity-Based Costing: Advanced Excel, costing models, data analytics.
• AMS Platforms: Familiarity with iMIS, NetForum, Fonteva or similar systems.
• Project Management Tools: MS Project, Smartsheet, Asana, Trello, Monday.com.
• Data Analysis & Reporting: Power BI, Tableau, SQL for data queries and dashboards.
• Collaboration Tools: SharePoint, Teams, Confluence for documentation and communication.
• Certifications (Preferred): PMP, Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, CBPMP.
