Job Title: Business Analyst
Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join our client and play a vital role in supporting key initiatives within the healthcare and insurance industry. This hybrid, contract-to-hire position, based in Philadelphia, PA, focuses on analyzing business processes, gathering and documenting requirements, and supporting cross-functional teams to implement process improvements that drive efficiency and compliance.
Work Schedule:
• Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Hybrid schedule: Onsite Tuesday–Thursday, Remote Monday and Friday
Key Responsibilities of the Business Analyst:
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze business and functional requirements
• Define project scope and objectives based on thorough understanding of user needs and business processes
• Conduct evaluations of existing business workflows and identify opportunities for improvement
• Support the development of project proposals including cost-benefit analyses, action plans, and documentation
• Provide technical and analytical support throughout the project lifecycle
• Coordinate project activities at the departmental level to ensure alignment with business goals
• Stay current on healthcare and health insurance regulations, practices, and tools
Qualifications and Skills for the Business Analyst:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, or a related field—or equivalent work experience
• 1–3 years of experience in a Business Analyst, Project Coordinator, or similar role
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
• Familiarity with project management or collaboration tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence)
• Comfortable working both independently and within collaborative team environments
• Awareness of health insurance processes, terminology, and compliance standards is preferred
• Exposure to tools such as SQL, Tableau, Power BI, Visual Studio, or Figma is a plus
