Business Analyst

Job Title: Business Analyst – Banking & Financial Domain Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week) Duration: Long-Term Contract About the Role We are seeking a senior Business Analyst (BA) with extensive expertise in the Banking and Financial Services (BFS) domain. The ideal candidate will bring 10+ years of experience in gathering and analyzing requirements, facilitating business/technology alignment, and enabling digital transformation. This role is based in Charlotte, NC, and offers a hybrid work environment. Key Responsibilities • Partner with stakeholders, product owners, and technology teams to elicit and document business requirements. • Translate requirements into BRDs, FRDs, user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria. • Perform gap analysis, feasibility studies, and impact assessments for proposed initiatives. • Collaborate with development and QA teams to validate solutions and support UAT. • Act as a liaison between business users and technical teams to ensure requirements are clearly understood. • Support regulatory and compliance initiatives within the banking/financial domain. • Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily standups, and retrospectives. Required Skills & Experience • 10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in Banking/Financial Services. • Strong knowledge of banking operations, wealth management, lending, or investment products. • Proven track record in preparing BRDs, FRDs, wireframes, and user stories. • Experience in Agile/Scrum environments with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Visio. • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. • Ability to work across cross-functional teams (technology, operations, compliance, and business).
