Business Analyst / Project Manager – Futures & Derivatives Clearing
📍 Hybrid (3 days on-site / 2 days remote)
💼 Contract – 8 months
💷 £530/day (Umbrella)
We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst / Project Manager to join a Futures & Derivatives Clearing Operations Process Re-Engineering programme within a leading financial services organisation.
This is a hands-on BA-led role with project delivery responsibilities, focused on driving operational change, process optimisation, and supporting technology delivery in a fast-paced clearing environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead end-to-end business analysis for process re-engineering initiatives within Futures & Derivatives Clearing
• Work closely with business stakeholders to understand current state processes, identify pain points, and define future state solutions
• Translate complex requirements into clear functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria
• Facilitate workshops and requirement-gathering sessions across Operations, Front Office, Technology, and Risk
• Document business processes, data flows, and system interactions
• Support project delivery activities including planning, milestone tracking, dependency management, and risk escalation
• Contribute to testing strategy and support UAT
• Provide subject matter expertise on clearing processes and regulatory requirements
Required Skills & Experience
• Strong experience in process mapping, analysis, and optimisation
• Proven background in business requirements and user story writing for technology delivery
• Solid stakeholder management skills, with experience working across multiple senior teams
• Good understanding of project management fundamentals
• In-depth knowledge of Futures & Derivatives Clearing and the associated regulatory landscape (e.g. Dodd-Frank, EMIR)
• Experience working in high-pressure, delivery-focused environments
• Proficiency with tools such as Visio, Excel, Jira, Confluence
Experience & Qualifications
• 5–7+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst or BA/PM within financial services
• Direct experience in Futures & Derivatives or Clearing Operations is essential
• Relevant degree required; certifications such as PMP, CBAP, CSM are advantageous
