Job Title: Business Analyst
Job Location: London & Glasgow
Job Type: Contract -Hybrid [Inside Ir35]
Role Overview
The Business Analyst will partner closely with CIOs, Business Units/Functions, application owners, and their delegates to support the successful adoption and ongoing operational excellence of key data governance platforms, including Alation, DQ Store, and OpenLineage.
The role requires strong technical understanding, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments across the enterprise.
Key Responsibilities
1. Technical Support
• Provide hands‑on functional and technical support for the three core technologies (Alation, DQ Store, OpenLineage).
• Guide users through platform usage, onboarding, and best practices.
1. Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution
• Investigate, analyze, and resolve user‑reported issues.
• Liaise with engineering and platform teams to ensure timely resolution.
• Proactively identify recurrent issues and recommend improvements.
1. Stakeholder Engagement
• Act as the primary point of contact for CIO groups, BU/Function leads, and application owners.
• Facilitate discussions, manage expectations, and maintain strong working relationships.
• Handle escalations professionally, including those involving challenging stakeholders.
1. Tracking & Reporting
• Prepare and maintain dashboards, status reports, and progress trackers for leadership and governance forums.
• Ensure transparency in issue management, adoption metrics, and system performance insights.

• Hands‑on experience or strong understanding of:
• Alation
• DQ Store / Data Quality tools
• OpenLineage
• Awareness of data governance concepts, metadata management, and data quality frameworks.
