Job Description
We are seeking a Business Analyst / Technical Product Owner with a strong background in the airline industry, specifically in pricing, booking, and crew operations. This role is ideal for someone who understands the intricacies of airline commercial and operational systems and can translate complex business needs into actionable technical requirements and roadmaps.
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Collaborate with business and IT teams to gather, analyze, and document functional requirements for core airline systems including pricing, booking, and crew management.
β’ Act as Product Owner for airline operations initiatives β defining business epics, managing product backlogs, and driving feature delivery.
β’ Work closely with cross-functional teams including revenue management, network planning, and operations control to enhance system functionality and user experience.
β’ Support configuration and integration efforts across fare rules, booking workflows, and operational platforms like PSS, GDS, and crew rostering systems.
β’ Perform gap analysis and recommend improvements between current systems and desired business outcomes.
β’ Partner with engineering and QA teams to ensure solutions are scalable, reliable, and meet business objectives.
β’ Lead UAT testing, manage defect resolution, and validate system readiness for production deployment.
β’ Create user stories, process flows, and detailed functional specifications using Agile best practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
β’ 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Technical Product Owner in airline operations.
β’ Deep domain knowledge in airline pricing, booking logic, flight ops, and crew scheduling.
β’ Proven experience with Passenger Service Systems (PSS), Revenue Management Systems (RMS), or Crew Management tools.
β’ Familiarity with flight disruption management, roster optimization, or crew pairing algorithms is a plus.
β’ Exposure to cloud-based airline platforms or modernization projects.
β’ Experience with API integrations or airline data services is desirable.
