Role description
This position is a temporary assignment. As a contractor, youβll be employed by Magnit, not The Cigna Group or any subsidiaries of The Cigna Group.
Location/Schedule Notes:
Franklin, TN hybrid schedule preferred. M-F 8-4:30 CST. Will consider remote (USA) candidates for the right fit.
Responsibilities
Provides expert content/professional leadership on complex Business Analytics assignments/projects. Works in collaboration with business leaders to provide strategic partnership in analytics, identify and prioritize opportunities for impact, develop analytic solutions, leverage data science and technology capabilities, embed analytics-driven processes, operationalize and measure impact, to support decision making and execution based on data, facts and analytical findings across different parts of the organization. Exercises considerable creativity, foresight, and judgment in conceiving, planning, and delivering initiatives. Uses deep professional knowledge and acumen to advise functional leaders. Focuses on providing thought leadership within Business Analytics but works on broader projects, which require understanding of wider business. Recognized internally as a subject matter expert.
β’ The main responsibility is to ensure that the data used within the organisation is accurate, consistent, and reliable.
β’ Performing statistical tests on large datasets to determine data quality and integrity.
β’ Collaborating with database developers to improve data collection and storage processes.
β’ Running data queries to identify coding issues and data exceptions, as well as cleaning data.
β’ Gathering data from primary or secondary data sources to identify and interpret trends.
β’ Reporting data analysis findings to management to inform business decisions and prioritize information system needs.
β’ Documenting processes and maintaining data records.
β’ Adhering to best practices in data analysis and collection.
β’ Keeping abreast of developments and trends in data quality analysis.
Collaboration is a key component of the job. You'll work closely with data engineers, data scientists, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements, identify issues, and implement solutions. By fostering a culture of data quality, you contribute to the overall success of the organisation's data initiatives.
Strong analytical skills to spot trends or anomalies in data. Proficiency in T-SQL/Azure DataBricks and data manipulation tools is essential for querying databases and performing data validation. Attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and excellent communication skills are also crucial for collaborating with different teams.
Qualifications
β’ 5 + years of Experience with T-Sql
β’ 3-5 Years of Experience with Azure Databricks
β’ Intermediate Level of Experience to interpret Statistical packages, such as MS Excel, SAS.
β’ 7+ years over all industry experience preferred.
β’ A degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Data Science, or Statistics is often PREFERRED.
β’ Extensive experience with healthcare data analysis and quality assurance is valuable, as well as familiarity with data management best practices.
β’ A proactive mindset to continuously improve data quality is highly regarded.
Hourly Pay Rate Range (dependent on location, experience, expectation)
The pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay for this position is: $44.00/hour-$58.00/hour
