Position Title: Business Systems Data Analyst Location Information: Hybrid - Kansas City Duration: 6 months + contract Position Responsibilities: This role partners with business unit stakeholders and technical staff to identify business systems solutions for changes to business processes, policies, and information systems. Considered the top business analyst expert within a major application supporting multiple business units, performing tasks of the most complex nature required to: • Design and develop dashboards, self-service tools, reports, data models, and scalable ad-hoc reporting. • Collaborate with business leaders to understand business challenges that will benefit from analytics support. • Partner with technical services teams to design technical solution to meet the business requirements. • Help drive user adoption with superior documentation and prepare and present trainings materials and provide consultative support to end users. • Develop test cases and test scripts to facilitate appropriate testing (unit, integration, system, UAT). • Act as system liaison between business users and the technical services team responsible for support. Minimum essential Skills and Experience: • Passion for learning new technology and developing innovative solutions. • Knowledgeable of extract, transformation, load (ETL) data management processes. • Experience with Microsoft SQLServer, preferrable Cloud based databases like Azure or Snowflake. • Ability to build data models incorporating multiple datasets. • Knowledgeable of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, & Access) • Demonstrates proficiency for problem solving, analytics, and reporting. • Demonstrates ability to manage time and meet deadlines. • Demonstrates strong written communication skills. • Demonstrates ability to partner with multiple lines of business to achieve common goal. • Demonstrates good analytical, problem solving and multi-tasking skills • Demonstrates ability to express technical concepts in business terms. • Demonstrates ability to work independently within a team • Demonstrates understanding of purpose and operations of supported lines of business. PREFERRED: • Experience with Financial commercial software or Property management software. • Experience with Microsoft Power BI suite or Power Platform. • Experience presenting data insights to key stakeholders. • Working knowledge of machine learning concepts. • Demonstrates ability to identify solutions where precedents and procedures may not exist. • Demonstrates effective networking skills. • Demonstrates working knowledge of effective testing techniques and procedures.
