Business Data Analyst 3 | Mountain View, CA (Contract - Hybrid )

We’re looking for a Business Data Analyst who can turn complex data into clear insights and build dashboards that help a new credit card product make smarter decisions. This role supports analytics for a credit risk team and focuses on requirements gathering, SQL development, and dashboard creation in Tableau. You’ll work closely with product managers, engineers, and analysts while shaping reporting foundations for a growing business. What You’ll Do • Partner with PMs, engineers, and credit analysts to define reporting needs • Build new dashboards and maintain existing ones using Tableau (Qlik Sense also acceptable) • Write SQL queries, prep datasets, and perform transformations for analytics • Work with data engineering to understand upstream data and request required fields • Deliver clear, actionable reporting as business needs evolve What You Need • Strong SQL skills • Experience building dashboards in Tableau or similar BI tools • Ability to gather requirements and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical teams • Python experience is a strong plus • Understanding of data infrastructure; familiarity with Databricks, Redshift, Vertica, or Snowflake is helpful Nice to Have • Experience in credit analytics, lending, or fintech • Exposure to data pipelines Role Details • On-site in Mountain View preferred; strong remote PST candidates considered • Team collaborates in Mountain View 1–2 days weekly • Assignment: Up to 18 months • Conversion possible depending on performance and onsite availability If you're ready to build critical dashboards and work on a high-visibility analytics team, we’d love to see your application.
