The Business Data Analyst has a 12-month contract position with a client in Jersey City, NJ (3 days onsite & 2 days remote).
Pay Range: $50 -$53/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Job Description:
Global Markets Technology division is seeking an IT Business Analyst for Derivatives Trade and Transactions regulatory reporting technology.
Roles & Responsibilities:
β’ Closely work with business partners to analyze & refine the regulatory requirements given by Federal authorities & DTCC (Business Requirements Document) and then prepare a detailed Functional Requirement Document.
β’ Translate and simplify the Business /Functional requirements into technical requirements and create user stories for the Development team to understand and implement the code.
β’ Performs gap and feasibility analysis by looking at back-end Python code, recommend alternative solutions, project strategy, and deliverable prioritization.
β’ Prepare the detailed use cases, functional scenarios, and Spec by examples.
β’ Work closely with Developers and Operations to answer all questions & queries about the regulatory requirements.
β’ Identify the gaps in the software system from a regulatory perspective and raise requirements to the product owners.
β’ Provide support to the Product Owner team to help guide the tech impact, story points, prioritizing, and planning for all requirements.
β’ Provide support to UAT team for end-to-end testing by providing sample test cases, use cases, actual vs expected behavior etc. Work with them to develop user acceptance tests, and log and track the status of defects.
Skills:
β’ At least 6 β 8 years of experience of working as a BA for large, complex systems.
β’ OTC Derivatives domain knowledge is required.
β’ Ability to read back-end Python code and perform basic debugging is required.
β’ Working experience/knowledge on CFTC/Dodd Frank, ESMA/EMIR, MIFID rules is preferred.
β’ Great analytical skills and ability to deep dive into complex details and resolve issues.
β’ Excellent written & oral communication skills.
β’ Experience working with the AGILE methodology of software development.
β’ Ability to prioritize, adjust, and push for completion of multiple tasks in a fast-paced organization.
β’ Ability to problem solve, apply reason, take initiative, use judgment, and perform multiple concurrent tasks
