Role description
This is a remote position.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Business Data Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in analyzing and visualizing data using PowerBi, managing workflows/automation in Smartsheet, and leveraging advanced Excel functions to drive informed business decisions. This role requires a proactive individual who can translate complex datasets into actionable insights. Also, serve as a strategic relationship manager between Information Technology and a specific set of businesses. The BA serves as the primary technology consultant for business application(s), understands business processes, business practices, elicits and documents business requirements, and ensures that information technology meets the requirement of end users and provides the intended business value.
Key Accountabilities:
• Identify opportunities to improve processes through data-driven recommendations.
• Monitor data quality and ensure accuracy, consistency, and security of information.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define metrics, set goals, and track performance.
Knowledge and Skills:
• Proven experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in PowerBi for data visualization and reporting.
• Strong knowledge of Smartsheet for project and data management.
• Advanced Excel skills, including but not limited to pivot tables, formulas, and macros.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to present findings effectively.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Daily Responsibilities:
• Making sure data verification is accurate, will be using different reporting styles.
• Day-to-day to make sure that the data coming in is correct that.
• Building good reporting tools that are telling accurate stories that we can pass back to senior leaders.
The candidate will immediately support key initiatives such as:
• Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
• Create compelling dashboards and visualizations using PowerBi to present findings to stakeholders.
• Utilize Smartsheet for project tracking, workflow management, and reporting.
• Develop and maintain Excel models, leveraging advanced functions such as pivot tables, formulas, and macros to support data analysis.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate insights and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes through data-driven recommendations.
Requirements Must have skills are -
• Excel for the reporting build outs.
• PowerBI for the reporting build outs.
• Smartsheets
Nice to Have: Generic reporting styles, automation flow within Excel.
Years of Experience: No less than 2+ years experience especially on Excel, as there is a heavy reliance on formulas, and data verification that the ideal candidate will need to be able to manage independently.
Degrees or Certifications: Bachelor’s Degree
