Job Description: β€’ Understand business objectives and problems, identify alternative solutions, and perform studies and cost/benefit analyses. β€’ Analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or improve existing computer systems. β€’ Confer with personnel across organizational units to analyze operational procedures, identify problems, and define input/output requirements such as data entry, summaries, and reporting formats. β€’ Write detailed descriptions of user needs, program functions, and development steps for new or modified programs. β€’ Review computer system capabilities, specifications, and scheduling limitations to determine feasibility of program changes. Additional Job Details & Special Considerations: β€’ Analyze existing business requirements to understand current functionalities, data flows, and pain points. β€’ Elicit and write comprehensive business requirements for new systems or enhancements. β€’ Translate complex business needs into clear, actionable requirements. β€’ Write Epics and User Stories (including acceptance criteria) to communicate functional and non-functional requirements to development and QA teams. β€’ Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams to ensure alignment between business objectives and system capabilities. β€’ Document current state processes and proactively identify opportunities for process and system improvements. β€’ Facilitate workshops, gather information, and present findings to diverse audiences. β€’ Demonstrate strong data analysis skills and excellent communication abilities. Candidate Skills & Qualifications (Minimum Requirements): β€’ 13 years of hands-on experience as a business data analyst in the IT industry, with strong analytical and documentation skills. β€’ 13 years of experience collaborating with technical and non-technical teams to analyze complex data-driven business problems and recommend solutions. β€’ 10 years of experience designing and optimizing data workflows and data management processes using modeling or mapping tools. β€’ 10 years of experience writing Epics and User Stories (including acceptance criteria) for development and QA teams. β€’ 8 years of experience creating and maintaining data-related documentation (data dictionaries, business requirement documents, data mapping specifications). β€’ 8 years of experience designing and presenting visual data models and dashboards to communicate trends, performance, and project timelines. β€’ 8 years of experience leading data-focused meetings and interviews, documenting outcomes, and resolving data-related issues. β€’ 4 years (preferred) with a bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field (or equivalent experience). β€’ 4 years (preferred) with strong multitasking skills to manage multiple data projects concurrently. #DICE
