Business Data Analyst

Title: Business Data Analyst Location: Foster City, CA (Hybrid - 3 Days Onsite, 2 Days Remote) Duration: 6-Month Contract Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Business Data Analyst to support data-driven decision-making initiatives. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing large datasets, identifying data inconsistencies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance data quality and integrity. This role requires a strong problem-solving mindset and the ability to translate data insights into actionable business improvements. Key Responsibilities: • Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies impacting business operations • Perform data validation, cleansing, and transformation to ensure accuracy and consistency across systems • Partner with cross-functional teams including business stakeholders, operations, and data engineering to resolve data-related issues • Investigate root causes of data discrepancies and implement corrective and preventive measures • Develop and optimize data processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability • Create reports and dashboards to communicate findings and support business decision-making • Utilize tools such as Power Query and Excel to manipulate and transform data effectively • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance data workflows and governance Required Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail • Proficiency in Power Query and advanced Excel functions • Experience working with large datasets and performing data cleansing and transformation • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams Preferred Qualifications: • Working knowledge of SQL for data extraction and analysis • Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau • Prior experience in financial services, payments, or fintech domains is a plus #TB\_EN #ZR Why TalentBurst?
