We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-orientedJunior Business Development professional to join our Growth team. This role is perfect for someone looking to expand a career in federal business development, competitive intelligence, and growth operations.
The selected candidate will support a wide range of activities, including pipeline operations, market research, CRM data management, internal scheduling, and corporate marketing support (social media, graphics, etc.). This is a cross-functional position that requires strong organizational skills, a willingness to learn, and a proactive attitude.
Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Business Development & Competitive Intelligence
β’ Conduct market research and competitive intelligence to support pipeline development and strategic planning.
β’ Track and monitor government procurement platforms (e.g., SAM.gov, GovWin, eBuy) for new opportunities and updates.
β’ Assist with the preparation of market assessments, opportunity qualification summaries, and competitor analysis briefs.
β’ Assist with Black Hats and Price to Win (PTW) analysis.
CRM & Pipeline Support
β’ Perform ITC CRM platform administration
β’ Generate CRM reports, dashboards, and pipeline updates for leadership and team meetings.
β’ Assist in tracking proposal schedules, status updates, and action items across the pipeline.
Operations & Coordination
β’ Schedule internal reviews and milestone meetings (e.g., gate reviews, color team reviews) and manage calendar invites, agendas, and follow-ups.
β’ Support the documentation of standard operating procedures and knowledge repositories for the growth team.
β’ Support the BD team with both opportunity qualification as well as corporate strategy and account planning.
β’ Collaborate with team members on ad hoc administrative support needs and special projects.
Marketing & Social Media
β’ Assist with drafting and designing social media posts for LinkedIn and Instagram to promote corporate brand, contract wins, and thought leadership.
β’ Create basic graphics for posts and events using design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Spark).
β’ Support the planning and coordination of business development events, trade shows, and webinars.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
β’ Bachelorβs degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
β’ 3+ years of professional experience in a support, coordination, or research-focused role.
β’ Comfortable navigating CRM platforms and project management tools.
β’ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
β’ High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
β’ Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
β’ Familiarity with social media platforms and basic design tools like Canva.
Desired Qualifications
β’ Familiarity with the federal government contracting landscape.
β’ Familiarity with gathering and analyzing competitive intelligence.
β’ Experience with GovWin, SAM.gov, or other market research tools.
β’ Experience supporting a market research vendor (Deltek, BGOV, etc).
β’ Experience supporting BD, capture, proposal, or marketing teams.
