Role description
Overview Our client is seeking a Senior MicroStrategy Administrator responsible for administering BI tools and integrating with Big Data in the Cloud. Responsibilities will include… β€’ Help with performance tuning and develop best practices. β€’ Provide support to cross-functional teams and projects with deployment and upgrades, including troubleshooting incidents to maintain the required service level. β€’ Work on complex, major, or highly visible tasks in support of multiple projects that require multiple areas of expertise in an Enterprise environment. β€’ Support all MicroStrategy configurations with new database technologies like Redshift and Aurora Postgres. β€’ Set up and provide reports using Power BI. Required Skills & Experience β€’ 5+ years of experience in administration and support of MicroStrategy. β€’ 5+ years of experience with Power BI. β€’ 5+ years of experience in a Linux and Apache processing environment. β€’ 5+ years of experience with Unix shell scripting, SQL, and PL/SQL. β€’ Hands-on experience with Cloud/AWS Cloud such as AWS QuickSight, EKS, Redshift, Ansible, and Terraform. β€’ Hands-on experience with installation and configuration of the MicroStrategy suite of products. β€’ Good understanding of various tiers of MicroStrategy Architecture. β€’ Experience with securing the MicroStrategy environment with authentication sources like LDAP/AD. β€’ Hands-on experience with creating MicroStrategy user roles from LDAP groups and securing projects as per security guidelines. β€’ Hands-on experience with Administration tools like Developer, Object Manager, Command Manager, and Workstation. β€’ Working knowledge of server operating systems and server hardware, primarily in RedHat Enterprise Linux. β€’ Excellent communication skills. β€’ Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking, and virtual environment. β€’ Excellent debugging, monitoring, and troubleshooting skills. β€’ Ability to attend to high-priority production support incidents and provide root cause analysis. β€’ Ability to work and collaborate in a fast pace and multi-tasking in an Enterprise and virtual environment. β€’ Excellent communication and team-oriented individual β€’ Excellent in debugging, monitoring, and troubleshooting with across teams, with bug fixes, software upgrades and escalations. Preferred Skills & Experience β€’ Hands-on experience with MicroStrategy Customer Managed Cloud and AWS QuickSight. β€’ Experience with writing Shell or Python scripts. β€’ MicroStrategy Certification. β€’ AWS Certification.
