Business Intelligence Analyst (Contract) Please note that this is a contract role providing services to Microsoft through external staffing partners of Allegis Global Solutions. If you are selected for this role, you will be employed by AGS and will not be an employee of Microsoft. Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and analytically driven professional to join a dynamic team focused on supporting procurement and supplier management for operating data centers. This role is central to standing up metrics reporting infrastructure by extracting data from emerging tools and transforming it into meaningful, actionable insights through dashboards and reports. The ideal candidate brings deep hands-on expertise in business intelligence, data modeling, and data engineering, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where technical precision and cross-functional collaboration are essential. This is a remote, full-time engagement offering the opportunity to make a measurable impact on regional data center operations through the development of robust reporting solutions using Microsoft's suite of analytics tools. Job Responsibilities • Develop, maintain, and enhance BI and analytics reports and dashboards using Power BI and related Microsoft tools • Pull and integrate data from new and existing tools to support metrics reporting initiatives • Work with key stakeholders across business functions to align technology and reporting solutions with business strategies • Gather requirements from business units and translate them into technical specifications for implementation • Support one or more highly complex business processes through data-driven insights and reporting • Prepare cost-benefit and return-on-investment analyses to support system implementation decisions • Demonstrate informed knowledge of business functions to resolve problems and identify improvement opportunities • Serve as a liaison between the business community and technical teams to deliver solutions that meet user needs • Work on multiple projects simultaneously as an active and contributing team member Requirements • 10 or more years of hands-on experience in Power BI and data visualization development • 10 or more years of experience in data modeling and data engineering • 10 or more years of experience in advanced analytics and generating business insights • Demonstrated experience working with Microsoft suite reporting tools in a professional setting • Proven track record of building and maintaining dashboards and reports in enterprise environments • Experience supporting procurement, supplier management, or data center operations is a plus • Bachelor's degree in data analytics, information systems, computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical field required • MBA or other related advanced degree preferred • Power BI and data visualization development with advanced proficiency • Data modeling and data engineering with the ability to design and manage complex data structures • Advanced analytics and business insights generation • Hands-on experience with Microsoft suite reporting tools including Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, and Power Automate • Basic knowledge of programming languages sufficient to read and understand code and basic functions • Ability to create business solutions that increase competitive advantage • Strong judgment in selecting methods and techniques for arriving at effective solutions • Ability to solve complex technical problems and understand intricate process details • High level of interpersonal and verbal communication skills to engage stakeholders at varying levels of technical knowledge • Ability to analyze complex situations using multiple sources of information to develop innovative solutions • Capacity to increase operating efficiency while producing high-quality technical outputs Additional Details • Location: Remote • Duration: 6 months • Pay Range • : $64.50 - $73 per hour • Weekly Schedule: 40 hours • Job Status: Non-Exempt • Application Deadline: Apply within 72 hours of the posting date to ensure consideration.
