Role description
BI Analyst | 6-8 Week Contract | Outside IR35 | Bristol We’re supporting a growing organisation in the healthcare space that is strengthening its Business Intelligence capability as it moves toward a more mature data and reporting landscape. The BI Analyst will play a key role in modernising legacy reporting, partnering closely with engineering and stakeholders to deliver accurate, scalable Power BI reporting while supporting the transition toward a centralised data warehouse. Location: Bristol (1-2 days onsite) Contract: 6-8 weeks (Outside IR35) Rate: £300-350 Start date: Immediate Key Skills: • Proven experience as a BI Analyst / Business Intelligence Analyst • Strong Power BI experience (including DAX and data modelling) • Solid Python experience for data analysis (Pandas, APIs, etc.) • Strong SQL skills for querying and validating data • Experience transforming Excel-based reporting into Power BI • Background working closely with data warehouse or platform teams • Strong stakeholder engagement and requirements-gathering skills • Ability to work independently and take ownership of reporting deliverables Key Responsibilities: • Inherit and rebuild legacy Excel-based reporting into Power BI • Validate and correct underlying business logic to ensure data accuracy • Deliver robust interim reporting solutions ahead of full data warehouse readiness • Partner with developers and data engineers to define and validate reporting requirements • Support the transition to a new Data Warehouse, ensuring reporting aligns with future-state architecture • Produce and validate monthly billing and operational reports • Use Python to support data analysis, validation and transformation where required • Engage with stakeholders to ensure dashboards meet business needs and drive decision-making • Evaluate and assess BI and dashboarding tools where required Please note the client is looking for candidates based in Bristol or South West.
