Meet Peacock, NBCUniversalβs fast growing streaming service that combines timeless shows and movies, exclusives and originals, kids programming and current hits, with timely news, sports and pop culture. This position is a part of the Decision Sciences team (Partnership Insights and Strategic Analytics) with a charter to provide valuable reports, forecasts, data analyses and analytics on Partnership subscriber performance. The team is continuously tasked with turning analysis into actionable insights to influence business decisions. This position plays a critical role in helping lead the teamβs Measurement workstream, with a specific focus on ensuring reporting and analytics materials are backed by sound, accurate data. This role will
routinely build data tables, reports and dashboards; as well as execute and manage end to end testing in partner with data engineers, Data Product, and others. This role will be highly cross-functional, working most closely with Engineering, Data Product, PMO, Product stakeholders.
Qualified candidates will be asked to complete a SQL skills assessment.
Day-to-day:
β’ Study and understand Peacock/NBCU data landscape and architecture to help identify fixes andultimately solve core strategic reporting and analytic challenges.
β’ Develop in-depth understanding of Partnership deal constructs to best assess performance
impact and guide data, reporting and dashboard needs.
β’ Define reporting requirements and data/measurement needs for Partnership reporting, working
closely with Insights & Analytics team members.
β’ Manage communication with Engineering and Data Product stakeholders to ensure end to end
alignment; facilitating testing, data and reporting requests as needed
β’ Lead all testing/QA/QC efforts for this workstream with engineering and Data Product
β’ Document and centralize test materials and procedures; create centralized repository of testing documentation.
β’ Build, improve and maintain dashboards of partner specific performance metrics to help inform
cross-functional stakeholders.
β’ Query and analyze complex data sets to provide analytical support and analyses as needed
Requirements:
β’ 4+ years of relevant experience in measurement or analytics
β’ 2+ years of analytical experience working with large, complex data sets and analytical tools
β’ Proficiency with SQL
β’ Experience working with and guiding technical team members (e.g., engineers, data architects,
product) towards needed business outcomes
β’ Ability to translate technical developments in a comprehensible way for business stakeholders
β’ Proficiency with Tableau (or equivalent data visualization tools)
β’ Prior experience with Direct to Consumer or Streaming business a plus
β’ Experience synthesizing data into presentations that draw clear takeaways and conclusions
β’ Team oriented and collaborative with an aptitude and willingness to learn
β’ Strong sense of curiosity, accountability, and ability to execute projects of all sizes with vision & purpose
β’ Bachelorβs degree from top tier school in Business Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science,
Statistics, Mathematics, Economics or other relevant quantitative fields
β’ Experience with statistical modeling and/or advanced data science techniques is a plus
