Description
We are looking for an experienced Business Intelligence (BI) Consultant to join our team in Saint Louis, Missouri. In this long-term contract position, you will play a pivotal role in driving data-driven decision-making and fostering a culture of analytics across the organization. This is an excellent opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams, develop actionable insights, and enhance business performance using cutting-edge BI tools and techniques.
Responsibilities
• Champion the use of business intelligence tools and analytics to promote data-driven decision-making throughout the organization.
• Collaborate with various departments to identify their data needs and deliver customized BI solutions.
• Manage the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of BI tools and platforms to align with organizational goals.
• Design and conduct training sessions to equip staff with the knowledge and skills to effectively use BI tools and interpret data.
• Extract, analyze, and interpret complex data sets to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports that provide clear visibility into key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics.
• Assess and refine existing BI processes to enhance data quality, accessibility, and efficiency.
• Establish metrics to evaluate the impact and effectiveness of BI initiatives on overall business outcomes.
• Lead continuous improvement efforts to ensure BI strategies remain aligned with evolving organizational needs.
Requirements
• Proficiency in BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Cognos, or Oracle Analytics Cloud, along with expertise in data visualization.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail.
• Exceptional communication skills to present complex data insights to non-technical audiences.
• Familiarity with project management principles and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Proven leadership skills to influence and guide teams in adopting BI practices.
• Self-motivated and results-oriented, with the ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or related fields.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related discipline; a Master’s degree is preferred.
