Power BI Developer - Hertfordshire - Hybrid - 9 Month FTC - £60,000 Are you ready to leverage your Power BI expertise in a meaningful role that supports data-driven decision-making? My client are seeking a Power BI Developer with Dynamics BC experience on a fixed-term contract to work in a hybrid environment, 3 days in their London or Hertfordshire offices. Please note, this role will convert to a permanent position if you desire, upon successful completion of this project. Key Responsibilities Power BI Development • Recreate, consolidate, and modernise existing Jet Reports into dynamic, efficient, and maintainable Power BI dashboards. • Build robust data models that optimise performance and support finance-driven analysis. • Develop interactive visualisations that improve data transparency for stakeholders. Data Modelling & Back-End Work • Extract, transform, and analyse data from Dynamics Business Central or 4PS systems. • Map legacy Jet data sources to Power BI datasets, ensuring consistency and accuracy. • Create and maintain dataflows, datasets, and semantic models using Power BI best practices. Stakeholder Collaboration • Work closely with Finance teams to understand existing reporting processes, dependencies, and pain points. • Partner with Business Systems to ensure data is structured correctly for analytical consumption. • Support end‑users through training, documentation, and troubleshooting. Report Rationalisation & Process Improvement • Consolidate redundant, overlapping, or inefficient legacy reports into streamlined Power BI equivalents. • Standardise KPI definitions, measures, and reporting logic across the business. • Recommend improvements to data governance, data quality, and reporting workflows. Required skills • Proven experience in Power BI development and data visualization • Strong skills in DAX, SQL, and data modelling techniques • Understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes • Experienced with Dynamics BC or 4PS • Ability to communicate complex data insights effectively to diverse audiences • Experience in project management and a collaborative mindset
