Business Intelligence Developer

Key Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and deploy visually appealing and interactive Power BI dashboards and reports for a variety of stakeholders. • Work with business teams to understand data requirements, KPIs, and reporting needs. • Extract, clean, and transform data from various sources (databases, Excel, etc.) to build reports. • Implement and optimize data models to support performance and user-friendly visualizations. • Create calculated measures, DAX queries, and data relationships to enhance dashboards accuracy and functionality. • Ensure the reliability and security of the data used in dashboards, adhering to best practices for data governance. • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with Power BI reports, data discrepancies, or performance problems. Required Skills and Qualifications: • Proven expertise in Power BI (with a strong portfolio of previous dashboard projects). • Strong proficiency in DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) for creating measures, calculated columns, and reports. • Hands on experience with data modeling and structuring data for efficient querying and reporting. • Knowledge of integrating Power BI with multiple data sources (SQL, Excel, SharePoint, web services, APIs, etc.). • Familiarity with Power BI Service (publishing, sharing reports, and creating workspaces). • Excellent understanding of data visualization best practices. • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights. • Ability to collaborate effectively with non technical stakeholders and adapt to their needs. Desired Qualifications: • Knowledge of additional BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Qlik) is a plus. • Familiarity with other Microsoft technologies like SQL Server, Azure, or Office 365. • Experience in data governance and security practices in BI.
