Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Business Intelligence Technician to join a dynamic analytics and reporting team. This role serves as the key liaison between technical and business units, helping transform raw data into actionable insights and strategic reporting solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, data engineering, and business intelligence tools within a Microsoft-centric environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary point of contact between the IT department and business units to define and deliver data solutions.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and translate business requirements into actionable specifications.
Aggregate and standardize data from various sources for analysis and reporting.
Utilize Microsoft BI tools such as Azure Dataverse, SQL Server, Power BI, and Power Automate to interpret and visualize data.
Develop efficient SQL queries and algorithms for large-scale data processing.
Apply statistical techniques and advanced analytical tools (Excel, SQL, Python, Power BI) to uncover trends, anomalies, and insights.
Create compelling dashboards and visualizations to support decision-making.
Operate within established IT frameworks, adhering to data governance and security standards.
Identify opportunities for automation and implement data processing improvements.
Develop monitoring tools to ensure long-term sustainability and performance of data solutions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience in data analysis or a related field.
Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft BI tools: Azure Dataverse, SQL Server, Power BI, and Power Automate.
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and presentation skills for translating complex data into business-friendly insights.
