Job Objective
This role focuses primarily (80%) on gathering business requirements for an upcoming IT project. The remaining 20% involves developing and tailoring training/reference materials using existing templates to support business analysts, QA professionals, and SMEs. The goal is to foster stronger collaboration between business teams, technical staff, and the Project Management Office (PMO), while enhancing production support and backlog management in Azure DevOps.
Position Summary
The Business Process Reengineering Specialist (BPRS) plays a crucial role in capturing, analyzing, and documenting testable and actionable business requirements. The BPRS will also assess and improve existing and future-state processes and systems, acting as a bridge between business needs and system functionalities.
In addition to business analysis, the BPRS will provide coaching, training, and mentoring to BAs, QAs, and SMEs. They will tailor and apply standardized content, processes, and templates to align with the business area’s objectives—especially for creating and managing Agile project artifacts within Azure DevOps.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and document requirement-gathering sessions with stakeholders and project teams.
Maintain and prioritize the Agile project backlog in coordination with the Product Owner.
Analyze and communicate project scope, ensuring requirements align with business objectives.
Provide coaching and training using existing templates for documentation, processes, and tools like Azure DevOps.
Assist in stakeholder engagement for data governance and change communication.
Guide Build vs. Buy decisions by analyzing functional and business needs.
Deliver complete SEM (Systems Engineering Methodology) documentation and ensure alignment with enterprise standards.
Work closely with UI/UX designers, developers, DBAs, and testers to ensure the technical team understands business functionality and scale requirements.
Required Experience and Skills
Minimum 5 years of experience with:
Business process analysis and documentation.
Business analysis and subject matter expertise.
Quality assurance processes and system testing.
Creating user stories and acceptance criteria in Agile environments.
Working with Azure DevOps, including epics/features/user stories.
Communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Coaching/training on BA, QA, and Dev roles and processes.
Creating process maps and roadmaps using tools like Visio or Figma.
Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to translate complex business processes into clear and concise documentation.
Proven experience with to-be / as-is analysis and content development.
Familiarity with Agile and general project management methodologies.
Preferred Experience
At least 3 years of experience in:
Creating product roadmaps.
Using tools such as FIGMA and Visio for process visualization.
Teaching or training in IT or business process environments.
